This article outlines the requirements and procedure for registering a new .co.zw local domain through zwdomain. These requirements follow the ZISPA (Zimbabwe Internet Service Providers Association) domain name registration procedures and POTRAZ regulations.

Prerequisites

Before zwdomain can register a .co.zw domain on your behalf, you must provide the following:

1. Signed Letter on Company Letterhead

The applicant must submit a signed letter on official company letterhead.

The letter must specify:

• The domain name to be registered (e.g., yourcompany.co.zw)
• The name of the ISP nominated to register the domain – zwdomain

Example wording:

"Please register the following domain for our company/myself: [insert domain name]"

Important note:

ZISPA does not accept abbreviations for the organization name.

2. Signed Copy of ZISPA Terms and Conditions

You must download, read, and sign the ZISPA Terms and Conditions.

Policy requirement:

ZISPA policy (also a POTRAZ requirement) states that accurate details of the real owner of a domain must be provided.

The real owner means the actual organization or individual – not an agent or developer.

Required Domain Owner Information

zwdomain requires the following details to register your domain with correct ownership information as required by law:

1. Domain Owner – Full name of the owner (individual or authorized representative)
2. Organization Name – Full legal name of the organization (no abbreviations)
3. Physical Address – Street address of the organization
4. Postal Address – P.O. Box or postal address
5. Town/City – City or town of operation
6. Country – Zimbabwe (or other, if applicable)
7. Voice Phone – Contact telephone number
8. Fax Number – Fax number (if available)
9. Email Address – Valid email address for domain owner
10. Description of Organization – Brief description of your organization's nature of business
