Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

Welcome to zwDomains, a domain registration and management service operated by GetHost (Pvt) Ltd, a company registered in Zimbabwe and South Africa ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using our website and any related services, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before using our services.

2. Services

zwDomains provides the following services:

  • Domain name registration
  • Domain name renewal
  • Domain name transfer

We act as a reseller for accredited domain registrars. Domain registrations are subject to the policies and terms of the relevant registry and registrar in addition to these terms.

3. Account registration

To use our services you must create an account and provide accurate, complete, and current information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.

4. Domain registration

By registering a domain name through zwDomains, you agree that:

  • You have the right to use the domain name and it does not infringe any third-party rights.
  • You will provide accurate WHOIS contact information and keep it up to date.
  • Domain registrations are not guaranteed until payment is confirmed and the domain is successfully registered with the registry.
  • Certain domain extensions (TLDs) may have additional eligibility requirements imposed by the relevant registry.
  • We cannot guarantee the availability of any domain name.
5. Payments & pricing

All prices are displayed in USD or ZWL as indicated. Payments may be made in either currency subject to the exchange rate applicable at the time of transaction. We accept payment via PayPal and PesePay.

  • Prices are subject to change without notice. Any price changes will not affect orders already paid for.
  • All fees are due in advance. Services will not be activated until payment is received and confirmed.
  • You are responsible for any applicable taxes in your jurisdiction.
6. Renewals & expiry

Domain names must be renewed before their expiry date to remain active. We will send renewal reminder notices to your registered email address. We are not liable for any losses arising from a domain expiring due to non-payment. Auto-renew can be enabled in your account dashboard and is charged to your account balance. It is your responsibility to ensure sufficient funds are available.

7. Refunds

Refund requests for domain registrations, renewals, and transfers are considered on a case by case basis. Due to the nature of domain registration — where fees are paid to third-party registries upon registration — refunds are not always possible. Please contact our support team within 48 hours of your transaction if you believe a refund is warranted. We reserve the right to refuse a refund request at our sole discretion.

8. Prohibited use

You may not use our services to:

  • Register domain names for the purpose of cybersquatting or trademark infringement.
  • Distribute malware, spam, or conduct phishing activities.
  • Violate any applicable law or regulation in Zimbabwe, South Africa, or internationally.
  • Engage in any activity that disrupts or interferes with our services.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and cancel any domains registered in violation of these terms, without refund.

9. Domain transfers

Domain transfers to zwDomains require a valid authorisation (EPP/auth) code from your current registrar. Transfer fees are non-refundable once a transfer has been initiated. Transfers typically take between 5 and 7 days to complete depending on the registry. We are not responsible for delays caused by the losing registrar or registry.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, zwDomains and GetHost (Pvt) Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of revenue, loss of data, or loss of business, arising from your use of our services. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Zimbabwe. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Zimbabwe. Where services are provided to customers in South Africa, the relevant provisions of South African consumer protection law may also apply.

12. Changes to these terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
